Along the way Dalio discovered unique principles that have led to his and Bridgewater’s unique success. It is these principles, and not anything special about Dalio, that he believes are the reason behind whatever success he has had. He is now at a stage in his life that he wants to pass these principles along to others for them to judge for themselves and to do whatever they want with them.

Be very specific about problems; don't start with generalizations.
For example, don't say, "Client advisors aren't communicating well with the analysts." Be specific: Name which client advisors aren't doing this well and in which ways. Start with the specifics and then observe patterns.

Don’t be afraid of animosity. If you’re held hostage to people’s approvals you won’t do what you need to do to do. Rather be reasonable and considerate and do the right things. If someone get angry at you for doing that, they are being unreasonable and need to change or you need to get out of the relationship.
